SC Faleza prodcom impex SRL is the owner of the patent (number 110609 / 1995) for the Hidroizoflex waterproofing membranes, a product with TQA, used in 1.5 mm version for construction works and 2 mm for bridges.

Benefits: It is a cold applied adhesive for wood, metal, concrete, asphalt mixture and more, with high flexibility. It can also be used for waterproofing different materials(they can be used for connecting the pillars of the baluster).

Hidroizoflex elastic waterproofing membranes are made of rubber and sheet lined with fiberglass grain on both sides. It is cold applied on concrete, wood, expanded polystyrene or asphalt mixture surfaces. It is used as a non-skid surface, electrical isolation layer, and is an oil- and acid-resistant coating. Hidroizoflex is vibration- and temperature-resistant keeping its elasticity, is stable by temperature variations, has good mechanical resistance, is compatible with different building materials, is leak-tight and is wear-resistant. Hidroizoflex membranes can be used in construction waterproofing: foundations, elevations, terraces, roofs with framework or roof boarding (wood, tin), septic tanks, irrigation canals, levies, as geomembrane (cut-off in landfills), non-skid terrace surface, paving, sport fields, stairs, access ramps, non-skid floors for animals.

Hidroizoflex membranes offer the guarantee of their safe usage by maintaining their fundemental characteristics in time: a watertight, temperature- and wear-resistant non-skid product with high mechanical resistance.

Hidroizoflex membranes can be made with different features according to the desires of the customer. Non-skid membranes can be used in terraces (double layer), for different paving such as in sport fields, stairs, etc. Non-skid membranes have a coating of different sizes: • fine, 120 leg coating / cm², 0,1 mm legs. • medium, 70 leg coating / cm², 0,2 mm legs. • normal, 20 leg coating / cm², 0,5 mm legs.

Building safety.

In conformity with Law 10/1995 with regards to building safety, keeping in line with TQA 015-03/118-2007 the products insure the following criteria for the whole building period: • Mechanical resistance and stability – Hidroizoflex membranes are stable at high temperatures (>100°C) and flexible at low ones (-30°C). The membranes have high mechanical resistance values and an allongation to break that is convenient for its uses. • Hygiene, health and environment – Hidroizoflex waterproofing membranes are made of pure raw materials, do not contain toxic or industrial waste, pose no danger to the environment or to humans. • Safety - Hidroizoflex membranes offer the guarantee of their safe usage by maintaining their fundamental characteristics in time: a watertight, temperature- and wear-resistant non-skid product with high mechanical resistance. • Electricity saving and thermal proofing - Hidroizoflex membranes are a good waterproofing material. • Fire safety - Hidroizoflex membranes are in class E(C4) in fire reaction tests.

Hidroizoflex utilization.

Hidroizoflex membranes can be used in construction waterproofing: foundations, elevations, terraces, roofs with framework or roof boarding (wood, tin), septic tanks, irrigation canals, levies, as geomembrane (cut-off in landfills), non-skid terrace surface, paving, sport fields, stairs, access ramps, non-skid floors for animals. It is cold applied on concrete, wood, expanded polystyrene or asphalt mixture surfaces. These products can be used without any difficulty in a normal precision context. Waterproofing works are executed after a project that will contain: • Plans, sections and details for hydroisolations, according to the building and plumbing plans. • Roofing plan with marks for the slope and positions of elements that are higher than the isolation • Details on the assembly structure of the main hydroisolation with the one of the higher elements . Deploying the membrane in terraces, stairs, sport fields is realized by intertwining the membrane and pressing the assembly points together. This will be done by skilled workers while keeping in line with the products instructions. Applying membranes is done at temperatures higher than 5°C, with dry weather. Support surfaces must be clean and dry.

Hidroizoflex waterproofing membranes can be used in bridge building. Hidroizoflex shows high durability in all works accomplished after 2000. One can apply the membrane (Hidroizoflex Super 1.5 mm) directly on the reinforced concrete surface, adding a layer of cationic bitumen emulsion, one of asphaltic mortar, a resistance layer of asphalt concrete and one of ware-resistant asphalt concrete, Over the waterproofing membrane a reinforced concrete protective cover can be introduced. The membrane can also be used for waterproofing the supports making it more rigid. For the future we plan on using 2.0 mm Hidroizoflex Super waterproofing membranes as a skid-tight surface on the carriage road, as the membrane does not allow waterfall to accumulate. 1. Hidroizoflex waterproofing membranes may be used for hydrotechnic constructions for an increased durability of the structures. In the case of levies, the 1.5-mm Hidroizoflex Super waterproofing membranes can be used for waterproofing existing levies as well as for strengthening new structures, possibly avoiding natural calamities. A simple application of the membrane with a support at its base and sandbags at its top can offer a low-cost alternative for building a dike. As for irrigation canals, Hidroizoflex can solve the problem most found in Romanian canals (water infiltration that causes a rise in the ground-water layer). By applying a 1.5-mm membrane of Hidroizoflex Super on the concrete surface a durable watertighting can be achieved. After executing this a 5-10 cm concrete protective cover must be added in order to provide an easily manageable surface.

Firs of all one takes notice at terraces that can be built in 2 ways. A membrane can be applied and then covered with the surface cover (tile, parquet etc). Another option is to use a double layer, first a Hidroizoflex Super 1.5 mm layer, than a non-skid Hidroizoflex Super 2.5 mm. Being a non-skid surface in any color requested, Hidroizoflex can also be used for surfaces with higher traffic (stairs, sloaps) for tracks and for sport fields. 1. Product fabrication.

The products are manufactured at SC Artego Tg Jiu, Romania, on a production line that guarantees the performances needed by the many purposes of the material. In line with its own Quality Insurance Manual the producer strictly controls with severity and efficiency the quality of all raw materials and the high technological standards needed. The producer insures the external control, through external audits made by certification mechanisms, by which the Quality Management System is evaluated and the product is kept at high quality standards. The Quality Management System is Simtex certified by Certificate nr. 605.1.3.2007. The durability of waterproofing works is guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years. The Hidroizoflex products are guaranteed for a period of one year. The essential durability criteria refer to maintaining the fundamental characteristics in time: waterproofing qualities, mechanical resistance, flexibility in cold, resistance to weather conditions. Maintaining the waterproofing works is easy and refers to the simple operations that are related to deployment. Eventual repairs are made by using the same materials and applying the same techniques.
